Thanksgiving Bric-a-brac by Snuppy

pilgrimsIN an effort to prime the Thanksgiving pump just 2 days away from our Nation’s Big Important Stuff Your Faces ‘Til You Puke/Yay It’s Almost Christmas/Time to Shop ‘Til You Drop Holiday, we searched high and, yes, low for something deliciously turkelarious, and guess what we found? An extremely stupid clever video that came thisclose to being funny. Not “laugh so hard cookie dough comes squirting outta yer nose” hysterical, perhaps — but pretty damn “chuckle ’til ya choke on a random chocolate chip” hahaha. Certainly good and/or amusing enough to share with the lot of you.

IN other words: in lieu of another Hilariously Crummy Post from our overwrought-yet-so-NOT-crummy friend, CRUMMYJOEL, we offer a Crummy and/or Amusing Thanksgiving Short featuring celebrity(ish) voices. Praise The YouTube and pass the popcorn.

YOU know, we always thought we’d try to sell our own cheesy valuable bric-a-brac ceramics on eBay, but now we’re not so sure. If the writer’s stike continues, we may not have anything good to watch on TV for months and months, and then what will we do? We’ll tell you what we’ll do, we’ll make up incredibly stupid stories with our large and fabulous collection of cookie jars and put on shows for the neighborhood, that’s what we’ll do. Either that or watch reruns of Scrubs and/or The Office.

LEST we forget, this bizarre-yet-historically inaccurate video was created by the same folks who did the hilarious-yet-queer CHAD VADER series. So you know they’re committed to good programming. Or they should be committed for good, then forced to watch their own programming. Either way, that’s who they are and/or what they’ve done.

PS: DO us a favor, and click on the following banner, read DIESEL’S long-ass post, then sign his damn petition. Maybe once our friend fulfills his stinkin’ mission (you’ll see what we mean in a minute) he’ll come back here and start posting again. Just saying… it’d be darn nice to have something besides an expanded waistline to be thankful for after Thursday, now, wouldn’t it? Why yes, yes it would.

That was great! Madden and Walken were dead on. Way to get into the Thanksgiving spirit Snuppy even if it does feel like it should be September instead of November…where did those months go?

Comment by BoBo

WOWIE — this is some comment section! ah well, hopefully it’s due to folks too busy preppin’ for Turkey Day to be bothered reading blogs. πŸ™„

BoBo: i thought the voice-over guy did a mean Sean Connery, too! thank goodness you and i are so easily amused, eh? πŸ˜‰

Comment by snuppy

I wasn’t that impressed with the Sean Connery but then I’m a purist. The only good Sean Connery is Sean Connery

Happy early turkey day to you crazy Americans who have it in November…in the middle of the week. Don’t you know…that Mondays are for Statutory Holidays? Yeesh. Granted I know some people who are taking the entire week off. The bums.

This CrummyJoel fellow needs to be fired. What a slacker.

Too funny, and the voices were pretty good. Of course I might not be the best judge of that, since everything over here is dubbed, and the last time I heard any of these guys’ voices was ages ago. Wow, this place is deserted, where is everybody? Are they all taking the whole week off for Thanksgiving? Man, we don’t even get Thanksgiving over here, so Thursday’s just another day.

I thought that was funny as hell. The voices were pretty good, especially Walken.

Okay, you nagged me into going over to DIESEL’S. I’m not visiting many blogs today, but if you say so.

It was worth it. I do love Huey. Plus the caption contest is good too. So, thanks for the tip.

I am sorry but people trying to immitate Sean Connery in speech always amuse me. This was hilarious in my rather fragile mind.

Are there those bunnies in pilgrim outfits still around? I remember driving with you through Massachet…. and not seeing a single one of them!

Comment by Penguin

LBP: amen to that, sistah! πŸ˜‰

TLP: i have to confess, I totally cracked up when i saw this, too. always glad to send friends over to Diesel’s — the kid never writes, but we still hella like him! πŸ˜‰

Penguin: heh heh — maybe not the bunnies, buy at least the signs sported pilgrim hats, remember? glad to help you keep a smile on that lovely face — nothing like a house full of kids to make ya think you lost it. πŸ™‚

Comment by snuppy

Penguin: lost your SMILE, not your face, i mean. guessing your face will remain beautiful and intact — unless those kids are more rambunctious that i imagined. πŸ˜‰

hehe great video! I agree on the impressions and the Walken one was one of the better ones I have heard, almost up there with Jay Mohr. (Mohr does the best Walken impression hands down)
