WHAT good is a “suggestion box” if we never check it? Well, NO good, unless, of course, no one bothers to “suggest” a topic for us to discuss in the first place. Happily, someone we admire and/or adore DID, and, being the “helpful blog” we are in any given post, we find ourselves tickled to respond.
FOR today’s “thought-provoking query”, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to TAN LUCY PEZ (a blogger we lovelovelove — along with her THREE CLEVER DAUGHTERS), who submitted a wonderful and/or probative question for us just last week 2 months ago*:
Are all UPS delivery men hot? Is there hard proof of this, or is it soft science? Corollary: Why do women love a man in uniform? (Even if it’s shit brown.) Why don’t sports uniforms count? ~ TLP
FIRST OFF, “no”. And we mean that in the best way possible. Wait, no we don’t. Maybe your UPS guy is cute as a button on a Hello Kitty sweater, TLP, but ours? So NOT. Honestly, not only is he “unattractive”, he’s unpleasant. Creepy unpleasant. He yips at our dogs, too, making him all the more “ick”. On the other hand, our oldest son worked for UPS for 8 days, and he’s adorable (in our biased-yet-humble opinion), so maybe Mr. Ugly-yet-Creepy UPS guy is the exception, not the rule.
TRUTH be told, TLP, you had us at “Brown”. Specifically “shit brown“. Heh heh. Love ’em or hate ’em, not only do they provide a wonderful service, eye candy and/or ample food for thought, “Brown”, it would seem, is also good fodder for a Mad TV parody (what? you knew there’d be at least one something from The YouTube, didn’t you??)
WHAT? This was the best WE could do in a pinch.

after being completely worn out from Tuesday’s post — and being utterly tickled by TEH PENGUIN’S hilarity, yesterday — i
didn’t feel up to writing anything newuh, er… decided to sift through a few of the older posts sitting in our queueueue in hopes of finding something fun (something we try to do from time to time) and found this little item. of course, then i felt really bad, because i’d intended to respond to our dear friend’s question MONTHS ago. wait, did i say “intended”, it seems i actually DID, i just didn’t post it. d’oh!my bad, TLP. i mean, i know you understand what caused my distractions, but still, the last thing i want is for you to feel ignored! wouldn’t/couldn’t do that. not now, not ever! 😉

Nessa: ours should be so cute. sadly, he’s not. kind of a bulldog with a bad temper. maybe he’d be nicer if i tipped him once in awhile, but after yelling at our dogs, he gets… nothing. 😉
Actonbell: blame your mom for this video. well for inspiring me to look around for something appropriate in order to respond to her query! i’ll take nice over cute any day. “cute” i got (thanks to my hubby, sons, and dogs). actually, i’ve got plenty of “nice”, too! still, i wish our guy wasn’t such a grump. glad yours is a good one, makes it a heck of a lot easier to answer the door, doesn’t it? 🙂

Claire: the actress who played that character is really wonderful in ALL the parts she plays (on that show), but i agree, what’s up with those teeth? 🙄

Our delivery guys are hard to spot behind teh scarf and gloves and giant jacket. I suspect they are somewhere in there.
